Atlas Scientific Multi Circuit I2C Carrier Board

Thumbs Up

Patrick, the controller is using I2C, currently it can only handle one of each PH, ORP, DO and EC. I'm going to change it so it can use any combination of 8 circuits. I don't have a shield to test, just wondered if you had tried it.

Thanks for answering the i2c question. Folks, forget everything I said about UART modes earlier... Configure for i2c and it will just work!

Rob, do you have a specific level shifter in mind?

No need for a limit at 8 with i2c. Why not 16...32...? We've got something coming out...  Angel

I said a limit of 8 because I need to figure out what do to with all these number. ;)

This is the type of logic level converter I was thinking about.

In case I make future changes it would be nice to know that they can be adapted to 3.3v.

Sorry Rott, nothing can be done with those older circuits, UART isn't very friendly to work with in the code.

well, it's nice to know that it is in fact plug and pray.
as I understood earlier from rob, robo-tank is configured to communicate with the EZO's default I2C address so there is no real need to do anything "complicated"

I'll give it a try (the PH and EC) as soon as I have €400 spare money :P

Almost plug and play, the circuits come in UART mode so they need to be switched to I2C which requires loading a sketch and sending data to the circuit though the serial window. After that they should work. Yes definitely not the cheapest addition, hopefully one day I can get my own circuits going.

can be done manually according to whitebox, just set a jumper correctly on a breadboard with the EZO on it and it should work ;)
and it doesn't have to be cheap, it has to be reliable ;)

I have both chips and probes just no money to buy the shield but have wanted one of there 4 ups for a long time. Amazon has great deals on Atlas kits every so often. I got the ezo EC 1.0 kit for $125.99 or around that cost on some special deal from amazon.

You can get the Tentacle Shields cheapest from our website / online store. If there is a 4-channel Tentacle in your cart, we even offer free shipping. whiteboxes.ch

if/when I order it will be at whiteboxes since it's much cheaper, there is a €60 difference.. atlas scientific only charges €40 in shipping..
and since Swiss is already within the EU I don't have the risk of additional import fee.

at what price do you start offering free shipping?

Switzerland is not in the EU (but in Europe ;)). So beware of customs. I've head dutch customers complain about it. Will be the same as importing to Netherlands from US... You'll pay VAT etc to the postman and taxman.

We offer free shipping if the 4-channel Tentacle is in your cart and if the total value is below €380. If value is larger, we need to use FedEx to ship and can't offer that for free. Otherwise, shipping starts at €9 to Europe and $11 for the rest of the world.
