Leak cable

Hello,

I got a leak detection cable https://www.aliexpress.com/item/4000041803534.html and it works based off of resistance so I need an analog digital converter like ADS1015 and then it would need to be able to connect to the board to read it.

Am I missing anything or does anyone have a better suggestion then ADS1015 chip?

Hi, unfortunately the Pi doesn't have any analog pins so you would need an ADS1015 to get some. Even though an analog pin is best it should still work on a digital pin. If you read the voltage on the signal wire of cable it should change as the rope sees more water. The threshold on a Pi pin is around 1.8v, under that it'll read off above it'll read on.
