Problem ph
#1
Hello, after re-install raspberry pi and reef-pi 4.1 Modified, the ph don’t work. The error « ph subsystem: Failed read probe:Ph bacError:write /dev/i2c-1: remote I/O error ».

 I Try «  i2cdetect -y 1 » but i just port 40 and 70. There are not port 63. Are you a solution?
Thanks for help

Hi, sorry for the trouble, for some reason this can randomly happen, the eeprom for the pH seems to lose the pH address so it can't be accessed even though it's ok. I just cross referenced you email address so I know what you have and good news is it can be reset.

Using a paperclip or something similar you need to carefully short out two pads on the controller board and keep it shorted for at least 6 seconds. The LED close by will flash 3 times when the circuit resets so keep it shorted until that happens. After that unplug power from controller, power back up and 63 should appear in i2cdetect.

The two red dots are what you need to short.
