Sonoff ESP32 use.
#1
Hi all

I have not been active at all on many fronts for quite some time, but I am back and trying to modernise my Reef-Pi / Robotank setup.

I have decided that I would like to integrate some smart plugs / switches into my existing setup.

I have previously used a Sonoff Basic R3 which I flashed with Tasmota and successfully added to the equipment list and was able to control.  Flashing Tasmota onto this unit was a real pain, so when looking for an alternative, I noticed that the Sonoff Basic R4 is ESP32 based and that ESP32 is now supported by Reef-Pi.

So I got a unit to test.  But I am stumped.  How do I add it to Reef-Pi?  It has a lot more options than a basic Tasmota Switch.

Thanks

Hi Des, you come back and I disappear, sorry about that.

Personally I'm not a fan of wifi accessories so don't know anything about this. I saw your posts on R2R forum but you didn't get to far, have you tried the ESP32 based sockets?
