Has anyone successfully implemented saltilinty/conductivity

Hi everyone. I've been scrolling though the post and there is a lot of information about saltilinty and conductivity on the forum but couldn't find if anyone had actually done it. I was wondering if anyone had implemented the atlas scientific Gen 2 USB EZO board and conductivity chip? Looks like a good option but maybe a different probe. I know their probe is probably brilliant and reliable but is there a cheaper option for probe? Thanks and sorry if this has been asked before.

Hi Kent, I do recommend the USB EZO board as it's better than I2C however this will require running an extra script on the Pi in the background so it can read the circuit, save the values to text file so you can import them in reef-pi. There are 4 parameters from the conductivity circuit so you save each to it's own file. Even with I2C version carrier board you would need to run a script to see all the parameters.

Atlas provides some sample code for the Pi, once you get it working on it's own you can edit the code to save the parameters to files then setting up in reef-pi is easy. I don't think you'll be able to calibrate through reef-pi, you would need to use the sample code from Atlas but once complete the calibration is saved in the circuit.

I tried to post a link to the USB board I'm referring to just to make sure we are talking about the same thing but their site seems to be down. If you can post a link I'll check it out. 

As for the probe, as long as it's K1 and has the proper connector it'll work.

Thanks Rob. I think we are talking about the same board as I got the link from one of your previous replies on reef 2 reef I think. https://atlas-scientific.com/carrier-boa...ier-board/#. Might have a go at it in the near future. Just researching before my robo tank gear arrives. I was thinking about one of these probes https://aperainst.com/2401-c-glass-condu...-connector. I don't have any experience with probe so not sure about the quality.

Yeah that's it, here's a link explaining how to get it working. Once you get data printing to the SSH terminal using they python script then you would edit the script to save to text file and setup the script to run in the background.

That probe would work but you'll need a BNC female to SMA male adapter, Atlas has replaced BNC with SMA.
