ChrisC has been kind enough to do a bunch of test prints, here's some images he took of them.

I really like the 2nd option for the display, it looks good and allows a nice way to view the screen. I am interested to see how it prints. Excellent job on all the designs Rob.

I would have opted for the photocell on top of the screen facing the same direction.
or does it work better on the sides of the screen?

Thanks Chris, someone sent a link with a box similar so I re-make it.

If anyone needs small changes like the photocell moved I can do that, I don't think it changes much were its located. I figured the side so everything is together. I made a small plug that the photocell fits in and pushes into the box. The plug is meant to be printed in transparent material so light can get through it to the sensor.

Hi!

Will the STL files be made available for download or for sale only?

Hi Chris, currently they're for sale only. I've been asked a few times about this, unfortunately if I want to stick around I need to make a bit of money, I don't want to disappear and would like to continue improving the controller so I need to watch the bottom line.

Do you perhaps have a flatsheet drawing of the display case?
Thinking about building one with acrylic sheets since we have a new laser cutter at work :)

Hey Fietsenrex, no I don't have any drawings but I can put something together showing all the spacing between cutouts if that helps you.

Only if it is not that much effort.
The sides that don't have any cut-outs are easy.
But if you have it laying around i would love to get it and show it off when finished

Yeah it's not too difficult, I'll post some pics in a couple days.

Hi Fietsenrex, sorry for taking so long to get those numbers, I got busy and kinda forgot.   K0505

Here's some images, if you put the SD card slot on the bottom you can use the card in display which will stick out about 3-4mm, the legs I have on the case are 5mm tall so you'll need those.

I don't have a 2D layout but with those numbers and a calculator it should work? If you need more let me know. I never moved any ports on the display board so any will fit it, the displays all have the SD card slot in the same spot so that should line up as well.

Should work.
Good enough all of the cut outs are there.
Not sure if i need them all since the shield only uses the rj45 in my case.

yeah you could get away with just the rj45 hole, the round one is for the photocell but requires an insert and the other is for programming port on Due.
