Robo-Tank v1.5 is Ready
#1
Hello, so here's another update with some more fixes, thanks to someone who brought a couple of them to my attention. If anyone notices any glitches be sure to let me know. You can download the update from your account as usual, be sure to look for the email with more details.
  • This main problem was caused after I added the Atlas Scientific code, this was causing the Mega 2560 to run very slowly. It was most noticeable when switching the light modes. While fixing that I also stopped checking the sensors when a light page is loaded. I did that so the microprocessor isn't being used at all so it would help speed up the sliders and actual light response. When you adjust the light sliders you would think they were connected to the Due again, even a little better this time.
  • There was also a problem when viewing 8 power outlets, every time the fish was fed the setting went back to 16 and icons overlapped each other etc...
  • As a lot of you know when updating the Due you had to press the reset button after the first attempt, this has been solved and will be the last update you have to do that.
  • On the home page during a fade a countdown is displayed showing how many minutes remain until the fade is complete. It was out by one minute which you would see when it got to <0 minutes as there is no such thing. It now displays <1 during the final minute of the fade.
  • The controller is setup to allow only 5 fish feedings per day, one the 6th attempt it says it can't be done and you need to reset the count. You do this in the "feed settings" page however the button only worked when you were in 8 power outlet view. When you set the controller to 16 power outlets the button didn't work.
  • I also added the feed count to the "feed settings" page so you can see how many times the fish were fed that day, trial I know...
  • The DHT22 temperature/humidity sensor had to be plugged in before the controller was powered up otherwise it would only show 32 degrees if you plugged it in after the controller was started. I made changes to the library so this no longer happens. You can now plug it in anytime and it will start up like the other temperature sensors.
