Hi,
I'm a little confused on the power bar wiring (the first power bar, with the 12 v power supply in it. So I connect the wires to the vga connector, 1-8 signals and black to ground pin. The other ends of these wires connect to the corresponding relay board pins. I don't connect the white wire to the VGA connector (power), instead I connect the white wire to the 5v + side of the regulator. The regulator gets 12v power and ground from the power supply (in parallel with the dc jack that goes to the controller). Where do I hook the ground to on the 5v side of the regulator? My thought was wiring it to the extra ground point on the relay board. Is that ok? Did I miss anything? I looked at the diagram and description in the instructions, but it didn't make complete sense to me.
Thanks,
Warren
Further to this, I did some testing. First, the 5 volt regulator seems to put out closer to 8.7v on the 5 v side, which seems pretty high. My outlets are on by default, with 3.3v on the pins and while I see the voltage drop when I toggle the pins via the touchscreen, the voltage drops to .45 v, but the relay never switches, it just stays on. The indicator LEDs in the power bar dim when I toggle, but don't turn off completely.
Ideas?
Thanks,
Warren
