Any recommended Dosing pump - fred73 - 07-11-2019
Hi
I bought few cheap Chinese Peristaltic Pump and during calibration it is accurate but after it will be very inaccurate
Instead of 5 ml it will give 2ml or 10 ml depending on its mood
Any recommended pump you guys are using that are quite accurate.
Any reason to stick to Peristaltic Pump and not use a small diaphragm pump instead

Hi Fred, how long is it sitting before you get varying results? Depending how the hoses are sitting you could be losing the prime, do you see some empty tube below the pump? When you setup the pumps it's best to have them like the image you attached, this way the prime can't be lost as easy.
Those other pumps you linked will work to.

You Should always fit check valves on your dosing pumps.
Although peristaltic pumps shouldn’t need them it is best to fit them anyways

Any chance in future updates we can vary the voltage to the pumps? Mine end up pumping pretty fast at 12v and I've been forced to dilute the solutions. not a big deal, but would be nice to me able to show it down a little

I’ve fitted one of my dosingpumps with a 5v LDO so that pumps only runs at 5v which makes is pretty slow and accurate.
Any lower and the pump will pobably stall, I’ve run them once at 3.5v with empty hoses.

Unfortunately the dosing ports aren't connected to PWM pins, at one point all the pins were being used so there wasn't enough PWM for everything.
I suggest what fietsenrex did, use a voltage regulator to drop the 12v, some are variable so you can set where you like. If you are happy with 5v you can also use any +5v pin on the controller as well. Something like this would work.
