I've got a Robo-Tank and love the heck out of the thing, but there are a few problems and all of them I suspect are related to the pi that's installed. Is it possible to upgrade this to a Pi 3 or 4 for a bit better performance? Right now any time my ATO kicks in the web server stops responding.
Is it possible to upgrade the Raspberry Pi?

Yes, it is possible to install refpi as well as R3 and R4, only at 4 it gets hot enough, fan cooling is required
You would need to print a new case or cut slots in the case you have for the ports coming off the sides of the Pi. If you have access to a printer I have the files on the website.

I know this is an old thread, but can you use a R5 with Robo-tank?
Hi @BadDadto6kids yeah the Pi5 is compatible with the hardware, not on software just yet, but as you've seen reef-pi is being updated and I'm working on an app that will also be compatible. I also don't have a case designed yet but I don't recommend using the Pi5, it's very much overkill for this and they run very hot, you'll need to ensure a fan runs 24/7. Same with the Pi4 but not quite as hot. The best Pi is the 3B+, it can run fine without a fan and has more than enough power.
