Great - I see that this is for revision B - mine is A.
Was this in manual A?

Thanks for the great support as always, love this thing and learning it is taking a bit of time as I am a noob to all of this.
But each step i pass or get working is very rewarding.

thanks

Sorry for long reply, sometimes the forum doesn't email me.

Here's the manual for RevA, I thought you had B because you listed sensor 6, RevA only has 5 sensors but pin numbers are the same.

https://docs.google.com/document/d/1JTJu...=h.3j2qqm3

Here's a link to all the manuals.

https://www.robo-tank.ca/reef-pi_Related_User_Manuals

I assume you have the 6th sensor because you ran the install script that added connectors to reef-pi, you can delete that connector. Instead that pin is controlling DC port 9 (one of the header pins) so you can leave it until you plan to use it but I'm guessing there's enough other DC ports you'll probably never use it.

Things can be a little confusing at first with connectors but they are powerful and after a while they will make more sense, same with Macros.

Sockets 3&4 are not working as they should.
I am reasonably sure they did when I first tested them but not now, actually very sure as I tested each with a light.

I have no temp or timer programs running all deleted as I run tests. Nothing should be turning these on or off.
But I did try and save  a inlet using pin 2 (mistake) but can not see if it did anything, your last reply solved that issue with the other inlets, all loaded but output channels 3 & 4 will not work....

Under equipment I can turn on and off ALL but 3 & 4.
3 & 4 do nothing.. no click.

If i power down the box, (pull the power cord) 3 goes out, I can turn it on but can not turn it off.
4 stays off.... will not turn on.

under timer i can make all BUT 3 and 4 cycle every 10sec.

Any ideas before I format and reload the SSD card?
thanks as usual for the great support.

Oh no, hopefully its something in the connectors that got messed up, a little hard to imagine 2 outlets going bad at same time. Did you try the other DB9 socket on controller for power bar 2?

Sorry might have to do a format.

LOL - defiantly something I have done....

Plugged in to socket 2 for the outputs as you suggested.... and 3 and 4 do not work.....

So both output plug 1 and 2 are the same...... plugs 3 and 4 do not work.
So looks like a reload job...

thanks

Not sure what those errors are about but the fact they are showing something isn't right. Let me know how it goes.

Hi Rob - not sure if what I have done is correct.
I have purchased new SSD cards x 2 and reloaded them.
Plugged one in to the Pi4 - (still attached the the board, is this OK) and loaded reef-pi
Down loaded reef-pi and started it up - wifi working on putty - putty so all good.

(I did the setup with Pi4 attached to the board... is that ok?

Reef-pi comes up and everything is looking good.... drivers ok, it all looks good.
I was feeling good until...

I have No connectors just an error message saying "Something went wrong"
everything else looks great...

Log - same message "something went wrong"

Tried my second loaded SSD - after power off the Pi and same thing.

Any idea where to start?

Rev A board
thanks
Arron

If I add to Equipment - it loads one power bar 1 - outlet 1
Try and turn it on / off and i get an error in red like above..

Error cant update 1 cant get output pin.
if you want a picture please let me know.

connected temp probe Ok - all working.
dashboard showing temp.

That is me done for now... look forward to some help... please.
thanks
Arron

Hi Arron, the error on the connectors page is caused by running the lastest Raspberry Pi OS, unfortunately the last update has now made it into the main image file that gets downloaded from Raspberry Pi Imager so you'll need to download the image file and load it manually.

Here's a link to download.
http://downloads.raspberrypi.org/raspbia...buster.zip

Once that finishes open the Raspberry Pi Imager program but instead of selecting the "Raspberry Pi OS (other)" scroll to the bottom of the list and select "Use Custom". Then browse to the file you downloaded and continue from there.

Then you can run the install script to finish the setup.

Hi Rob - downloaded / loaded on to Pi - this is the full desktop version, not the lite version you recommend.
Should i go ahead with this?

Sorry the forum didn't send an alert for your message.

I should have mentioned you'll have to run the full desktop version but you can setup the same as lite or plug in a display if you prefer.
